Focke-Wulf Fw190 A-8 - 'Black 13' for sale. - SOLD
History sheet on FW 190 A-8 W.Nr 170 375
FW 190 A-8 W.Nr 170 375 had the Stammkennzeichen GU + SR. It was built by Focke-Wulf at the Cottbus factory in April 1944.
This aircraft served with I./J.G. 2. It was taken on strength in April or May 1944.
FW 190 A-8 W.Nr 170 375 'Black 13' of 2./J.G. 2 was lost on 12 May 1944 when it crashed after combat at Wetzlar. The pilot, Uffz. Gerhard Neukotter, was killed.
W.Nr 170 375, or at least what remained of it, was sent on 27 June 1944 to the Auxerre-Cravant repair facility in France. The aircraft, or the remnants of it, was captured by the Allies at that repair facility in France on 12 October 1944.
The remains and data plate was salvaged and now retained with the main frame identity Data Tag.
